Ballot harvester here, you didn't account for "Nithya Fever" here in Compton. You hear it in the streets, in the churches, at "the cookout." The oldheads, the church ladies, the children waving their pineapple spears and their "dracos" -- all chanting "Nithya, Nithya, Nithya!"
I asked a disenfranchised youth why he's voting for Raman and his answer shocked me: "A Harvard/MIT-trained urban planner with hands-on experience fighting entrenched poverty from India to Inglewood? I'm with-ya, Nithya!"
@celeste43_@funnydale@politicalmath He got plenty of votes, bud. Clearly you would rather act like an absolute phaggot than engage with anything I’m saying in good faith.
@celeste43_@funnydale@politicalmath Yes, he’s charismatic if you can’t acknowledge this you’re just showing your own lack of social awareness.
TV personality- I’m making the point that he has experience and talent for understanding how to work the camera and generate interest.
@funnydale@politicalmath I don’t know why you guys repeat this.
Do you really believe Bass wants every single failure of her tenure as governor put on display to the nation by a charismatic TV personality? Or would she rather face off with a socialist who will play softball as no one pays attention?
None of this is true. People don't understand ballot harvesting is legal in California. What happens is the Dems have groups like SEIU to do their ballot harvesting while Republicans have people who write books, complain and then flee the state. There are some really good people here in LA and CA, but it's hard to win without $ and boots on the ground
@LeeKuanYimby Hey man don’t know if you’ve heard, but late mail ins skew left.
Surely this can’t be because ballot harvesting initiatives have always required the vote to skew left in order to beat any Republican opposition.
