MAKING HISTORY
I'm running a workshop at Bristol Central Library, 12 noon, 18 May, on writing history. I'm excited, as it will be held in the lovely, hogwartian Bristol Room. The session is free, but you have to book.

@MansonMike Looking forward to this. Much of the information about the Bristol Bridge Massacre in Eddy's performance is based on my book 'Riot! The Bristol Bridge Massacre of 1793'. Do come along - it'll be an interesting evening.

At last I have a copy of the much anticipated Hartcliffe Betrayed. Charts the planning process for this post-war suburb, and how visionary ideas got watered down to MUD. Recommended to anyone with interest in Bristol's history. Urban planners should read this. An instant classic.
All the posters I had on my wall when I was a student! Evocative art work by Toulouse Lautrec at the Victoria Art Gallery, Bath. Also a few by Alphonse Mucha. Wonderful exhibition.

@NickHowes13 Thank you. Interesting, a while ago I asked the Ashmolean to do a search of Bristol pictures in their collection. They didn't tell me about this.
In partnership with Satellite of Love I'm running a workshop on writing history. If you have a project - fiction/nonfiction - that has an historical slant this might be for you.
