When I was 22 years old, I commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and swore an oath to the Constitution. I upheld that oath through flight school, multiple deployments on the USS Midway, 39 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm, test pilot school, four space shuttle flights at NASA, and every day since I retired – which I did after my wife Gabby was shot in the head while serving her constituents.
In combat, I had a missile blow up next to my jet and flew through anti-aircraft fire to drop bombs on enemy targets. At NASA, I launched on a rocket, commanded the space shuttle, and was part of the recovery mission that brought home the bodies of my astronaut classmates who died on Columbia. I did all of this in service to this country that I love and has given me so much.
Secretary Hegseth’s tweet is the first I heard of this. I also saw the President’s posts saying I should be arrested, hanged, and put to death.
If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.
Want an example of air dominance? During the 1991 Gulf War, every time an Iraqi pilot lifted off, his fate was almost sealed. On one mission, a U.S. strike package was delayed for 11 minutes - not because of weather or technical difficulties, but because 40 F-4s, F-15s, and F-16s were busy chasing two Iraqi MiG-23s fleeing to Iran. The same applied to Iraqi SAMs: if a radar blinked awake, it was hunted instantly. And all of this happened over contested Iraqi airspace. That's air dominance.
🇺🇦👊🇷🇺🚀Ukrainians have found a way to jam Russian Kinzhal-type aeroballistic missiles, surprisingly - with a song 😀
It became possible to interfere with the missile's targeting system using Lima-type electronic warfare systems. Fighters of the Night Watch (who have disrupted about 10 Kinzhal courses in the last 2 weeks) replaced the satellite navigation signal with the Ukrainian patriotic song - Batko Nash Bandera.
Lima uses a digital "choke" that runs in parallel with the jamming process, combined with spoofing and finally a cyberattack, which simply "breaks" the missile's navigation.

“How dare you pick a relevant Reagan quote for an ad?” said the most mendacious sluice of endless lies, frauds, deceptions, cons, scams, grifts, and self-fellating retcons to ever besmirch the Oval Office.
The Ronald Reagan Library posting a video of Ronald Reagan praising Canada and condemning American tariffs as terrible for the US and the world in 1988.
National Populists are not conservative. They don’t have a conservative moral compass. Those who sympathize with Putin are not conservative. Those who hate Israel are not conservative. Those who want heavy government intervention in the free markets are not conservative.
Let’s get the government open and swear her in! A clean CR has always been the bipartisan solution and one that Dems have supported for the last 13 times.
@GeromanAT That’s a weakness not a strength. Those who study history know we cannot let Russia win. Good policy is based on knowledge and experience, not ignorance.
Over 70% of Americans want more support for Ukraine. Yes, we want the war to end, but the vast majority knows Putin is the invader & committing war crimes. We have moral clarity who is at fault, & don’t want to reward Putin. We’d like the Administration to have moral clarity too.
