Most people look at a flat map and miss the reality: The Arctic is the superhighway for ICBMs. Greenland isn't just a rock; it is the ultimate high ground $MAOG
One reason Greenland is strategically important to the US is in fact twofold:
1. It’s the best place to set up anti-missile defenses to intercept ICBMs coming from Russia / China
2. It’s a very good place to set up offensive missile capabilities to threaten Russia / China
The WSJ had a good graphic out a few days ago showing the trajectory of missiles from ICBM sites around Russia to the US would fly overhead or near Greenland, which also happens to be almost directly beneath where those missiles would reach their highest points (“apogee”) which is when they are most vulnerable to interception because they are traveling at their slowest speeds.
If you throw a ball into the air you’ll see the same effect - the ball is slowest at its highest point.
And for an intelligently guided missile capable of trying to evade interception, you have an even better chance to shoot it down from a point directly beneath it since that is the closest path to the missile (i.e. least amount of warning time for the missile to realize an interceptor is coming).
This above is all courtesy of our resident rocket scientist Phil.
The US already has the right to dot Greenland with military installations, and I imagine that extends to intercepting ICBMs. Though Europe might object for some purposes.
BREAKING: Military officials in Canada are modelling a US invasion from the south, expecting American forces to overcome Canada’s strategic positions on land and at sea within a week and possibly as quickly as two days, per CBC
Everyone calling this theatrics is missing the map. Greenland is currently a security gap in North America
If we don't fill that vacuum, China or Russia will. Trump is securing the only viable supply chain for Rare Earths outside of China
Currently, Greenland is a strategic liability. We bear 100% of the risk (getting "dragged in" to a war) with 0% control. That is bad business and bad strategy.
Europe has already proven they cannot deter Russian aggression without the US backing them.
Ownership fixes the glitch. It aligns our responsibility with our authority.

In 1803, we bought Louisiana. In 1867, we bought Alaska. In 2026, we complete the set.
This isn't about greed. It's about securing the future of the Western Hemisphere.
#ManifestDestiny $MAOG
Greenland’s GDP is $3.33 Billion. That is the target. We aren't waiting for Congress to approve the budget. We are helping crowdsource the acquisition on the blockchain.
Buy $MAOG. Buy the Island. Be a Founding Father of the 51st State.
JUST IN: President Trump says he will be imposing a 10% tariff on certain European countries which will be increased to 25% until a deal is made on Greenland.
“We have subsidized Denmark, and all of the Countries of the European Union, and others, for many years…” Trump said on Truth.
“Starting on February 1st, 2026, all of the above mentioned Countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland), will be charged a 10% Tariff on any and all goods sent to the United States of America.”
“On June 1st, 2026, the Tariff will be increased to 25%. This Tariff will be due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.”
The EU relies on the American consumer far more than we rely on their exports.
If tariffs are the toll we have to pay to secure the Arctic and the Western Hemisphere, then so be it. The strategic value of Greenland is infinite; the cost of French cheese is negotiable.
EU READIES TRADE “BAZOOKA” AGAINST US TARIFF THREATS
French President Emmanuel Macron plans to urge the EU to use its “anti-coercion instrument” if President Donald Trump imposes new tariffs over Greenland, AFP reported.
The rarely used trade tool would allow the bloc to restrict imports of goods and services in response to economic pressure on EU exports.
The Arctic is the new Mediterranean. Whoever controls Greenland controls the next century of trade and defense.
Leaving this key territory to Denmark is like leaving the nuclear launch codes with an intern.
Stephen Miller argues Greenland is central to the next era of polar competition, calling it a “raw and unfair deal” for America to defend a massive territory at full cost while Denmark keeps full control:
“Greenland is not essential for America’s national security. The new domain of international competition is going to be polar competition; that is where more and more resources are being spent by our nation’s adversaries. Greenland is 25% larger than Alaska. Greenland is the size of one-quarter of the continental United States. With respect to Denmark, Denmark is a tiny country with a tiny economy and a tiny military. They cannot defend Greenland. So they want us to spend hundreds of billions of dollars defending a territory for them that is 25% bigger than Alaska at a hundred percent American expense, but they say while we do this, it belongs 100% to Denmark. It’s a raw deal. It’s an unfair deal.”
🚨🇺🇸🇬🇱 A BILL TO ANNEX GREENLAND JUST HIT CONGRESS: YES, THIS IS REAL
Rep. Randy Fine from Florida just introduced a legitimate bill to annex Greenland and make it a U.S. state… literally.
The bill would let Trump take the steps needed to claim the island, but he’d still have to report to Congress with a plan to make it all work legally.
So while everyone was busy debating Iran, Reps just tried to casually add an entire Arctic island to the map.
