Every transaction tells part of your money story. πΈ
Income, expenses, transfers, credit-card bills, EMIs, borrowing and lending β keeping track of everything isn't always easy.
That's why we built MaPa Money.
One place to record and understand your finances, without connecting your bank.
π Your financial records stay on your device.
Our first app under MaPa Infinity.

@karthika_gm I think it's more about how companies value existing employees. They spend more to attract new talent but expect loyal employees to be happy with small hikes. That's why switching jobs often pays better than staying.
@lulumeservey This hits home. I'm building my first app and learning that getting attention is one thing, but earning people's trust is much harder. No shortcut for that.
This is really helpful, Mable! Thanks for taking the time to explain it. π
I'm building solo, so I've been trying to handle both development and marketing myself. I think starting with 10 genuine users and learning from their feedback is a good goal for me right now.
I'll check out Lulu's post too. Really appreciate your advice!
@matt_teeixeira I can relate to this π Sometimes I get excited about a solution and start building before fully understanding the problem. Learning to slow down a bit.
@mablesjoseph I agree about cold DMs. I wouldn't want to annoy people either π
I've started making short videos to show what MaPa Money does, but getting them in front of the right people is still a challenge.
Thanks for sharing your approach, Mable. Really helpful! π
That's really helpful, Mable! 100 early users giving feedback is a great start.
I'm finding the user discovery part harder than building the app itself π I've mostly been trying to reach people through X and other communities.
Did your first users come mainly through personal connections, or did you also find some through online communities?
@mablesjoseph Haha, feature development forever sounds like a solid business model π But yeah, finding people who actually need what I'm building is the real challenge. How do you usually find your first users?
Good morning, @X! βοΈ
Unpopular opinion: Building a great product doesn't guarantee people will use it.
You can spend months making something you're proud of, and still struggle to find users.
So what matters more?
Building something you personally need, or finding out what others need before you build?
Curious what other builders think. π

@JayG_0_7@AnkanXplorer I wouldn't be so sure about that. Jobs will definitely change, but I think people who understand how to build and solve problems will still be needed.
Good night, @X! π
I've been building MaPa Money, a personal finance app focused on privacy.
It's manual entry for now, so there's no need to connect your bank accounts. Your financial records stay on your device. π
If you have a little free time, give it a try! I'd love to hear what you think.
Anything you notice, whether it's a bug, something confusing, or an idea to make it better, is always welcome. π

@buildwbhoomika Haha yes! π I'm trying to spend more time building than scrolling these days. What about you? Are you working on anything interesting?
