Believe in yourself and create cool stuff—always! 💜
If you've been following my journey, you know @coolifyio has faced its share of skepticism on social media. The biggest blow came from someone I admired, who said:
"Why bother? With Heroku and Vercel around, this is a waste of time."
It was @SimonHoiberg who said this, and he has given me the green light to share this—no shade or hard feelings! 💜
Sure, it felt sh*t, but I quickly decided: I just don't care. I love making things, so even if it didn't work out in the long term, the fun and learning made it all worthwhile.
Fast forward a few years:
- I'm happily supporting my family with the income.
- My wife has returned to school to pursue her dream of becoming a psychologist.
- I've been able to hire people to skyrocket Coolify to the moon and assist the community (more on this soon 😎).
- And there are lots of cool things coming next year. 🎉
So just make cool stuff and belive in yourself! 💜
(The below video mentions Coolify)
The future is here: this is a basic Rails/Hotwire application running fully within a browser and distributed as a single Wasm module (well, and a .sqlite file with the database). Only configuration-wise changes to the original codebase.
Ultimate Rails PWAs are here! 😈

I still can't get over this, @Cloudflare Images are now billed per unique resize request, and all cached images are free.
I was paying for 20,000 per day, now I'm paying for 3. THREE!
This will save me about $100/mo in image handling.
How often do you see software working to reduce what you spend with them? ❤️

SOUTH AFRICA APPROACHES THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE UNDER THE GENOCIDE CONVENTION WITH RESPECT TO ACTS COMMITTED BY ISRAEL IN THE CONTEXT OF ITS ATTACKS ON GAZA
South Africa is gravely concerned with the plight of civilians caught in the present Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip due to the indiscriminate use of force and forcible removal of inhabitants.
Furthermore, there are ongoing reports of international crimes, such as crimes against humanity and war crimes, being committed as well as reports that acts meeting the threshold of genocide or related crimes as defined in the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide, have been and may still be committed in the context of the ongoing massacres in Gaza.
