I'll be frank: As someone who is well travelled on our African continent, I was wholly unprepared, outraged & saddened to see how some authorities reacted to the developments in South Africa. How they attempted to scapegoat SA for their own governance failures?
This is free advice from an expensive psychologist. If you’re an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don’t make everything a matter of life and death.
operating a small business in South Africa is an extreme sport
the incentives are lacking to promote ownership & long term value creation
a country growing in the low single digits is cooked without an entrepreneurial culture & the right support
Last night I got a call from some very stressed members of the Sherwood community who were frustrated by the Malawians who are sleeping at the park, they wanted help to get them deported because they don’t want them in their community.
I realised then that a lot of people want to “help” illegal immigrants and they feel “pity” for them and NGOs and NPOs that re funded by foreign organisations will fight with everything they have to keep them in the country just as long as they are not in their communities but are living with black poor people and fighting for schools, hospitals, grants and living space with them not in their communities NO!!!
Then it hit me, this is why the middle-class think that poor people are “vigilantes” for wanting to preserve the little they have of their own spaces etc. because they think that black poor South Africans don’t deserve it, they don’t deserve to live in clean, peaceful places with no long ques and poor service delivery only they do!! So yes they want their modern day slaves in the country but just as long as they don’t occupy the same space they do and compete for the same resources they have!! 🤔 if I’m lying prove me wrong 🤷🏼♀️
We tweet among abusive managers and supervisors. You can see it in their defence for Cartrack. There is no justifiable reason for the company's conduct.
@DrLungi_Mashele And we tweet among people who inflict the same and worse on there subordinates and employees
Look at them flood the timeline with "shock" and "disgust" messages then go continue do the same
Because they are trying to "maximize shareholder value "
Today I’ve taken a step to officially apply to volunteer & participate in the SACR programs focusing on Township Economy. If they would have me, I’ll dedicate some of my time & expertise to advance & advocate for Township/Rural Economic activities for the people. @Princymthombeni
Getting a stroke must be one of the most traumatic experiences ever. One day you’re good living life, the next you can’t move, yoy can’t walk. you can’t talk, you can’t work, you can’t town… Yhooo. Let’s take care of ourselves guys 🙏🏾
And no matter what happens, get ready to hear bo “That’s what we get for putting our faith in Bafana Bafana, let’s just stick to the Springboks” Le tlo ba utlwa.
@AmeyawDebrah Minister @S_OkudzetoAblak should really be focusing his efforts on this situation. The whole SA thing was a bit of an overreaction. Too many Africans are stuck in this part of the world.
@JackiePhamotse Well, I'm one person who was always not inclined to partake in prayer sessions with colleagues because what is the point of praying with a bunch of folks whom you know have very dark hearts based on their behaviour towards others. Pointless to me. No need to put on a facade.
