Only just noticed this, but whilst playing D1 on my Xbox, I found that I still had the Destiny 2 Beta in my games

Out of curiosity I started installing it, and opened it to this. The beta isn't playable, but I love this title screen so damn much.

With the franchise being sunset it hurts to say goodbye. I was a child when it started, now a husband and father. This was my career and the start of so many wonderful friendships. Truly the end of an era.

Now give us Destiny 3.

Very bittersweet to see this, I wasn’t expecting it this early and I imagined we would get another Raid, but on the other end excited to see what the future holds. Help me with the wording here, does it say they are done with the Destiny universe as a whole or just D2?

i didn't actually bungie would wrap it up. but june 9 is the last D2 update. and it has been a hell of a ride. i'll have a video talking about my thoughts.

Destiny is undoubtedly my favorite game of all time, no other game comes close to the amount of hours I've put into this franchise. Sad to see it end #destiny2

I can cope with the lack of new maps, or oppressive weapon-based metas like Mountaintop + Recluse, but aspects and fragments turned it into a horrible ability spam based experience, with actual gunplay being tremendously overshadowed.

what about the integrity of solo flawless, gm completions, and of course flawless in the Trials? it feels like the integrity of those activities have been compromised and yes those who did this and achieved such feats using this method are undeserving of the completion.

I do not expect everyone to agree with me and i understand it is a video game, but it is one that rewards those who accomplish the difficult feats within it and this completely compromises those achievements.

nothing will ever be perfect on release, though it's curious, I wonder how the changes were done if it's caused such a monumental screw up with player data

nonetheless, at least it was caught early

this is part of integration testing. they will not catch every bug if they have not integrated the update with the rest of the game

reverting the update would only result in it taking longer for them to find the bugs
