One of the issues I had with Maresca at Chelsea was his inability to maintain a stable starting XI.

You keep playing Reece James in midfield. Reece James is not a midfielder. Send him back to his preferred position. We have Barco on the bench. Bring Barco in and keep him there to play alongside Lavia in midfield.

You keep him on the bench and play Reece James, who is annoyingly slow in midfield. You put him in there and now our midfield is exposed, which affects our defence as well.

The issue with this Chelsea starts in midfield. The midfield gets exposed, and that makes it easy to expose the defence. Alonso must fix that.
