@BradMBradford The flip-flopping is problematic. You should be in favour of moving all bike lanes that do not meet evidence-based criteria (ridership, environmental impact), not just the ones where you prefer to court votes.
@BradMBradford Sorry, but ALL under-utilized main street-destroying congestion-exacerbating buke lanes need to be moved, not just west of South Kingsway in Etobicoke. Bloor West Village doesn't want them, either--do proper surveys to find out!
Thanks for notice of expiring VIP points. No problem—if you arbitrarily delete points after 24 months, I will simply never use Porter again in the future. This policy is absurd, unnecessary and punitive. If that’s what you support, you don’t deserve my business. #flyporter

@robertbenzie And let's hope the City is pedalling furiously to reveal the data and analysis predicting all main street bike lanes installed to date. Because there is nothing credible released to date and a provincial review of ALL lanes is about to occur.
@TheBikingLawyer@stephenholyday So you are, then, literally, the modern definition of an ambulance-chasing lawyer. Would protected bike lanes have helped here? Or, made it worse for pedestrians as most of them do? Proactively remove drivers licences from all seniors? What exactly do you recommend?
@BrianPHuntley@alandrummond1@TheBikingLawyer@IronMountain@TorontoPolice Using that logic, all the "exclusive use" bike lanes are anti-social, meaning inconvenient for everyone in society except the tiny minority of street users that are cyclists. Where are the loading zones and facilities for local business? Irrelevant?
@MarkCRamsay I live beside High Park. Pedestrians in the park feel terrorized by the avid cyclists who have successfully lobbied to turn the park into a glorified velodrome. Those legitimate complaints are what led to the ticketing.
@Dabusan7@jen_keesmaat Let's prove bike lane usage with actual usage data. No need to use impressions or perspectives. Why is there zero credible usage data published by the City of Toronto? Credible means multi-point, all-season, real tracking.
@jen_keesmaat Too bad the pedestrian-only street festivals in Bloor West Village and Kingsway are no longer possible--due to idiotically misplaced and inappropriate bike lanes.
@jen_keesmaat Yes, by global standards, Toronto is a mid-size city/region that is sadly majority suburban sprawl and is now choking on itself with world-class congestion. What is the plan to address this? Manufactured congestion from more density + bike lanes on arterial streets in the core?
@jen_keesmaat This is far better than the visual clutter mess installed on Bloor Street West that is so poorly designed it could prove to be worse for cyclist safety than no separated lanes at all. Yes, the design is that bad. Ignores and is the complete opposite of what is shown here.
@jen_keesmaat Too bad we have a ridiculous one-size-fits all policy in Toronto. Can you help fix that? Why should Councillors in Etobicoke be voting on neighbourhood measures in Scarborough or vice versa? Bloor Street West is not the Danforth or Kennedy Rd.
@jen_keesmaat Most bike lanes in Toronto, outside the downtown core, look empty because they are empty. Simply publishing ridership/usage stats would resolve any mystery. But, Toronto doesn't collect any meaningful, year-round data. Wonder why?
@SkySportsF1 Total fail. Just reduce the number of people if you can't afford to send them to races. The studio is a complete downgrade from prior practice. Green-screen effect is actually nauseating. If I want to watch F1 via the metaverse, I don't need Sky.
@jen_keesmaat How many CafeTO spaces were lost in Bloor West due to the ridiculously under-utilized and poorly designed bike lanes that were recently installed?
