My household’s meagre annual income tops out around 50 thousand in a good year: it doesn’t even reach what you splurge on groceries in a single year—$81,428—and it’d take me at least three grueling years of back breaking work to earn as much as you casually burn on food alone.

No wonder Canadians are lining up at food banks; they’re busy funding imported water box thingies and filet mignon for Trudeau’s delicate palate while we scrape by on mouldy crumbs.
