Our Plant Molecular Farming work just got spotlighted in GEN, and yes, we’re leaf‑ing proud!
Thrilled to see our research featured in Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News:
https://t.co/LcmEqprrKc
It highlights our paper: https://t.co/Kt4isIY6o0
👉 Vaccines for diseases with epidemic potential in LMICs?
👉 Simplified engineering solutions enable the development of globally accessible vaccines?
🚨Research Fellow in Genomic Medicines manufacturing available at @UCLBiochemEng1@vaxhub Global!

And with posters covering applications as:
- Simplifying mRNA Vaccine Manufacturing by Using Immobilised Enzymes During in vitro Transcription Reactions (G Taylor)
- Bioprocess Microfluidics 2.0: Standardised Microfluidic Platform for Applications in Bioprocessing (N Szita)

Great to host Kornkanya Pratumyot (https://t.co/HlvOA6Vs9s) at @UCLBiochemEng1 to discuss possible collaborative avenues in the #LNP-#mRNA space and make use of our small-scale technology workflows
On my way to https://t.co/LrieCEirZq to deliver lecture and practicals on flow #biocatalysis with @jmbbolivar (using @hiltonlab 3D printed pumps), and settle once and for all that free enzymes are the way forward! 😅
We have been nominated for the @ACEEU_org awards for #EDI engagement- please vote for our @3di_printing centre in the Europe category- https://t.co/0UxsU1gPlu
This award builds on our #VirtualReality research and improving training in #3Dprinting with friends at @marmara1883
@santanderukhelp Nope! Emergency line was “closed”(tried the numbers in the pic, which are the same as on the credit card), and either I had the option to contact the “bot” or wait for the next day. Reason: “problem” with the credit card… no worries, I froze it! Call @santanderuk tomorrow…
Excited to advertise a Post doctoral position in enzymatic approaches to plastic waste degradation and valorisation, as part of the Preventing Plastic Waste with Engineering Biology Hub. Plastic waste is a problem, be part of the solution!

I asked myself if we could quantify dsRNA, a product related impurity produced during #mRNA manufacturing, without using traditional immunoassays.
The short answer is yes (I think)!
Check out latest publication here: https://t.co/68Jfw2CoF6
The HPLC method outperforms the immunoassays in terms of precision, has broader detection range, and the quantification is not impaired by other reaction components. Quantification in <30 min for 1 sample (so further optimisation can be possible!)
