@VadimYuryev Why does it need to be “Ultra” at all? This is based on one speculation from Gurman. No other “Ultra” Product from Apple has thus far been purely a next gen version of an existing Pro.
Apple can increase prices and offer more features without changing the name
Apple's privacy-first Siri will run on Google's servers using Nvidia chips. The company that won't let you sideload apps is about to process your voice through its biggest rival's cloud.

@ajayidavid11@Vincent_Teoh I know all of this and yet none of it means anything because as a normal consumer I don’t want to be stuck with the pixel density of the PC I had in 2012.

Sayed and Platner being ahead in primaries is a recipe for Democrats to fuck themselves. Congrats on wasting the chance of a lifetime to re-establish Democratic Senate Control while the least popular Republican government in modern history is in power.
Lenovo's Legion Go 2 is arguably the best handheld PC if you want all the bells and whistles like a built-in kickstand (highly underrated) and removable joycons, plus a huge 8.8" VRR display.
But the AI grim reaper has come for it, as its storage and RAM options are not sustainable.
The MSRP was already a high $1,349, but it is now $1,999 or higher (B&H has it for $2,349)😱
Handheld PCs will survive this, but 2026 is kind of a lost year now.
The good news is Xbox Ally/X are still holding their MSRPs, but after Steam Deck jacked up prices, you wonder how long that will hold out.
And interestingly, now Intel is stepping in to dethrone AMD in this space, which is fascinating.

You couldn’t pay me money to get something Qualcomm based in a market where there are now Windows optimized SoCs with NVIDIA GPUs. CUDA, significantly faster RT, great upscaling support and all from a company that has a much longer history of Windows driver support.
By Taras Buria - New Surface devices with Snapdragon X2 processors are on the horizon, and one of them has already been leaked. #SurfacePro#Microsoft https://t.co/FWxixQJwHK
AMD’s “care” for their SoCs is beyond shit. An Apple M1 chip has a better upscaler than the Xbox Ally X or even a laptop with a freaking Strix Halo laptop 🤦♂️
AMD currently says "no" to FSR 4.1 on RDNA 3.5, despite the fact that dGPUs on RDNA 3 and RDNA 2 will get it in July / beginning 2027.

@Long2008ml_VN@VideoCardz Doing Nothing = Providing the most consistent and industry leading performance updates with great build quality, top tier service and even responding to more niche customer demands like bringing back classic ports
This is 100% wrong.
Maybe it will be close if you force yourself to use the exact same Apps but if you rely a lot on first party apps, you will have a far better experience on the Neo with 8GB of RAM vs the XPS. I like the package of the XPS but PLEASE, get it with 16GB of RAM!
If MacBook Neo set a new bar for affordable laptops earlier this year, the new Dell XPS 13 just blew right past it.
I got my hands-on Dell’s new XPS 13, a $699 laptop that is nothing short of flagship in every category that truly counts. It maintains the XPS’ high-quality build and materials, excellent display, and best-in-class keyboard and trackpad. It has fast USB-C ports, good performance, and it’s all packaged into a device that is lighter and smaller than the MacBook Neo, while also rocking a larger display.
When I heard the new XPS 13 would be $699, I was worried that Dell was going to butcher it, cutting corners in the way most Windows OEMs usually do to reach that lower price point, but to my delight that hasn’t happened. The XPS 13 is still as much of a flagship as the previous model, which I think makes this the new best deal in computing.
The Windows ecosystem needed an answer to the MacBook Neo, now it has one that not only blows it out of the water, but might even give the MacBook Air a run for its money, from a pure value perspective.

@ExoticSpice101 Fuck no. I fully sanction that move. The only bad port decision on the XPS is the inclusion of USB A. We need to call that shit with fire so the accessory market can fully move on
I sound like a broken record, but it deserves to be repeated. The Apple rumor mill is far too reliant / dependent on a few conflicted / misaligned actors for its content. The end result is unnecessary confusion and chaos being put out into the world on a regular basis.
