Blackburn Rovers are devastated to learn of the passing of Tony Parkes.
A true club legend, often referred to as ‘Mr Blackburn Rovers’, Tony passed away last night at the age of 76.
Everyone at the club sends their deepest heartfelt condolences to Tony’s daughter Natalie and all his family and friends at this incredibly sad time.
A special tribute will be held to celebrate Tony’s life and his outstanding contribution to the club’s history at our final home game of the season against Leicester City on Saturday May 2nd.
Don’t see how this will make any difference, who is going to take over and when? The squad is still to weak. An excuse not to sign anyone? Rudy and Pascha need to leave aswell.
📰 Valérien Ismaël has today left his position as Blackburn Rovers’ Head Coach by mutual consent.
Ismaël joined the club in February 2025, however it has been mutually agreed that he will step away from his role with immediate effect, along with Assistant Head Coach Dean Whitehead.
Blackburn Rovers would like to thank Valérien and Dean for their efforts during their time at the club and wish them both the very best for the future.
The club will now begin the process of appointing a new Head Coach and will make no further comment until an appointment is confirmed.

Suhail Pasha Sheikh is running Blackburn Rovers
• Has been at the club since day one of Venky’s ownership, was involved in the acquisition
• Makes the key decisions at the club
• No accountability to supporters
• Still no CEO after getting rid of Steve Waggott
Severe budget constraints imposed season after season
• Experienced, proven players sold off
• Replaced with cheap gambles and short-term fixes
• Squad repeatedly weakened, not rebuilt
Who's intrest does he act in, the clubs or his own?
• Supporters treated as an inconvenience
• No meaningful engagement with fans
• What does he tell the owners on our behalf?
• What picture of this club is being presented?
We deserve to know. Accountability matters. He does not think fans deserve to know any of this. He takes your support for granted.
How can we show him we matter? It is our club not his.
Boycott Watford 24th Jan
I’m not talking about today’s result on here. I’ll simply talk about the upcoming boycott and active decision to not buy from Rovers.
If you’re unsure, I’ll ask you a simple question: “Name one thing that has improved in the 15 years of Venky’s ownership?”
Because there isn’t an improvement.
Think about that.
For 15 years things have either got worse or not improved - which given advancements over the 15 years - is actually a net negative.
If you can’t miss one home game after 15 years of no improvement then I urge you to rethink.
This does end, eventually.
It’s simply a case of the speed of the demise now.
There’s 10,000 people missing.
The standards are dropping.
The results are trending down.
We either force their hands, or let them do it themselves.
If you want it to be quick and painful then don’t spend a penny. No season tickets, no merchandise, no TV match passes.
If you want it to be long and excruciating continue going and spending your money.
If you have young family, I urge you to do it for them. They shouldn’t have to sit through years of no improvement.
It’s so strange why Venkys would want to still own Blackburn.
They’ve not been to a game since 2013 and attendances continue to decline.
Something surely has to give soon…
