@TexasTribune is at it again, with @alexnguyen2311 spreading inaccurate, one-sided, and dangerous misinformation about gender affirmative care (GAC) and SB 14 (companion HB 1686) #txlege#TribsOfTikTok https://t.co/BC0Gcm8NC7 1/
@Puinseabach@coresairstw@briebriejoy Not to mention plenty of larger culture. E.g. virtually every stupid person or bad guy in a commercial is a white man, that's clearly mocking/shaming based on race and sex. So the arg would have to be it's happening but only to balance Things out, not that it's not happening, no?
@Puinseabach@coresairstw@briebriejoy Gotcha, agree. Question on your OP: I'm confused by people's confusion. I've been in left orgs and communities for most of my adult life. The baseline assumption has always been that masculinity was either bad or at best not to be encouraged. Often quite essentialist. 1/
@thesigmamindset So the idea is the thought is reframed and becomes a trigger for relaxation and letting go of the past and living in the present? Does that not then still reinforce the memory's presence in your mind?
@Puinseabach@coresairstw@briebriejoy Are you saying we'll only have achieved equality when, to take one of your examples, women (are allowed to?) watch and participate in sports as much as men?
