ZELENSKYY: Abramovich came to Kyiv. He said, “I have direct message for you, and I want to receive message from you and deliver it to Putin.”
Key message was about Donbas. I said, “We won't leave our territory. We won't hand you victory this way. And you will not get Donbas.”
We also discussed all kinds of possible compromises. I said, “All compromises will come after ceasefire. A ceasefire is the biggest compromise from our side to yours.”
Abramovich also said it had to be done silently, without any public messages. I replied, “Look, it’s your choice.” For us it doesn’t matter, public or non-public.
But it’s always like this with Russia. If they say something has to stay between us, it means that tomorrow not only we will know about it.
Alter!
Russia's logistics towards Russian-occupied Crimea is being cut off.
Today, trains were stopped at the Kerch-Simferopol part of the railroad. Most suburban trains were stopped, as well.
Buses (which were circulating with delays due to fuel shortages) have been re-routed to transport the passengers of the trains. Earlier, Crimean "authorities" reported that 400 buses did not start their routes due to the fuel crisis.
Russian tourists who arrived in Crimea by cars now report it's very hard to leave as there's no way to simply buy fuel, harsh restrictions were introduced.
The situation with logistics in Crimea will worsen.

Dear @SecRollins: You lie. The average life cycle of a Screwworm ranges from 14 to 54 days depending on temperature and humidity.
The trump Administration has been in office over 500 days.
If you can’t accept responsibility, or even apologize for messing up, you need to resign.
Former Danish PM and NATO Secretary General Rasmussen: I met Putin and Medvedev. They respect only power. European envoy debates are a distraction without a peace-through-strength strategy.

🫵🇦🇱Your unity is his greatest fear. When you stand together, his corrupt regime will crumble.
👎Edi Rama, resign. Step down now and return the country to its people.

No aluminium for the Russian war machine.
Recent investigations into alumina exports raise serious concerns about European-produced materials entering supply chains linked to Russia's military-industrial complex.
Aluminium is a critical component in the production of Russian missiles, drones, military aircraft, and other weapons used daily against Ukraine and its people.
We welcome the Irish authorities' decision to launch an official investigation and expect it to be conducted swiftly, independently, and transparently.
European production and supply chains must not contribute, directly or indirectly, to sustaining Russia's war machine.
Instead, Russia must be deprived of access to any and all critical resources and materials. Earlier EU restrictions on cellulose and chrome have made a real difference. Now is the time to apply the same approach to alumina.
Ukraine will continue working with Ireland, EU institutions, and international partners to strengthen sanctions pressure on Moscow and close gaps that enable Russia's defence industry to operate.
This raises a question: how firm is Putin's grip on power? Is there anyone or anything that can take him down?
For an answer, join the @nestcentreorg experts @JohnLough, Ella Paneyakh, and Nikolai Petrov on Zoom.
Moderated by @Bridget_Kendall, they'll give you a sober view of the state of Putin's regime you will not hear elsewhere: https://t.co/YJM875k1Ma

This is just one example of the lengths Putin is willing to go to in order to eliminate from public view those who might challenge him.
There's a reason why, in the fifth year of the war in Ukraine, we don't see a single popular military commander—the moment anyone starts to become popular, they're moved out of the spotlight.

A few years later, Putin would appoint Ramzan Kadyrov, a former bandit who bragged that he killed his first Russian at the age of 16, to rule over Chechnya and Chechens with little regard for the Russian constitution or human rights.
And Nemtsov would be killed in 2015 just meters away from the Kremlin by people linked to Kadyrov: https://t.co/K2v2t6tIOy

The terrorists demanded an end to the war in Chechnya, but Putin refused to let anyone negotiate with them, not for some noble motivations, but because he was worried about political competition.
It was his chief of staff who told Nemtsov that the reason was raising ratings and nothing else: https://t.co/RvG4UMU2ez

The problem: the gas didn't selectively work on terrorists only—it also affected hostages. The medics who went in didn't know how to revive them because they weren't given an antidote.
130 people ended up dying, and we don't know how many more could've been saved had Nemtsov been allowed to negotiate.

That president was Vladimir Putin, and the opposition MP was Boris Nemtsov. The 2002 Nord-Ost theater siege was one of the moments that came to define Putin's presidency.
He chose to use a fentanyl-based gas to knock out the terrorists and then sent in special forces to kill them off.

Imagine this: terrorists take 900 people hostage. They have political demands, offer to release 10 people a day. They name the opposition MP they're ready to talk to.
The MP agrees—but the president stops him, afraid the MP's rating might rise... 🧵[1/7]
🇷🇺🇺🇦🇺🇸 Russian Telegram channels report that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have begun using new AGM-188A Rusty Dagger cruise missiles, developed by the American company Zone 5 Technologies under the ERAM program.
🚀 According to the information, the missile has an operational range of approximately 930 kilometers and carries a 225-kilogram warhead.
This represents a significant enhancement of Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities. A cruise missile with nearly 1,000 km range and a substantial warhead allows Ukraine to reach deep into Russian territory, including key logistical and military targets. If confirmed, this new weapon system will further complicate Russia’s defensive efforts and increase pressure on its rear infrastructure.

In Germany, Islamists continue to protest daily and pressure businesses not to serve Israelis. In this café, the owner received threats to kick out Israeli customers. The Jewish customers needed security protection out of fear they would be attacked.
This is the level of antisemitism now openly tolerated in Germany. The situation is spiraling out of control.
🇺🇦🇷🇺 RUSSIAN MILBLOGGERS ARE PANICKING OVER A UKRAINIAN BREAKTHROUGH
Russian milbloggers are sounding the alarm, claiming Ukrainian forces have broken through, units are under fire, Bolshemykhailivka is falling, and the eastern push is crushing through.
The interesting part is not just the panic. It is that the people usually paid in denial are now openly admitting the lines are breaking.
When Russian propaganda starts running out of confident lies, something has clearly gone very wrong on the ground. Check the blue arrows. @actfast
