.@monicabeharding MP asked the Minister for Development @JennyChapman about figures from The ONE Campaign showing the potential human impact of UK aid cuts.
The Minister was kind about us - but was unsure about our figures. Here's what happened - and our explanation. [1/2]
Cutting ODA from 0.5% to 0.3% by 2027 is deeply shortsighted and doesn’t make anyone safer.
The deep irony is that development money can prevent wars & is used to patch up the consequences of them, cutting this support is counterproductive and I urge the government to rethink.
This is exactly what Musk did in the U.K. during the riots in August. Trying to inflame a situation to stir up division and disrupt government. This has to stop.

Germany shd brace itself for now being undermined and attacked by Musks rage machine like Keir Starmer has been recently.
The riots in Britain have shown how this leads to consequences IRL.
It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today:
– Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them.
– Don’t share things before checking your sources.
– Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.
The moral of this story is that, in democracies, power resides with the people - it is only ever temporarily lent to politicians. There is always another election or a term limit on the horizon. Your vote is powerful - use it and never let them take it for granted.
