@RutgersAltRoute A5: As a teacher, I can create a positive/warm/welcoming SEL atmosphere where I model kindness+respect, encourage students to do what they love, and ALWAYS keep communication open. #AltRtEd#StandUptoBullying
@RutgersAltRoute A5 #AltRtEd#StandUptoBullying In our NJEA magazine this month there is a whole article dedicated to the point that our students (especially the vulnerable involved in bullying) need to feel caring, bottom line, no matter what kind of tech we are using. Compassion. Realness.
@RutgersAltRoute Q4 #AltRdEd#StandUptoBullying
I have seen instances in which teachers struggle with their own prejudice in creating truly safe learning spaces, also public servants, teachers struggling with intimidation from parents wanting to do wrong. Tough
@RutgersAltRoute A3 #AltRdEd#StandUptoBullying Keeping in extremely regular contact with my families to understand and support their real life situations helps me help vulnerable kids frame positive ways to conceive or communicate with others re their different situations
@RutgersAltRoute A2 #AltRdEd#StandUptoBullying One important factor is to create and nourish ongoing dialogue about the positive nature of living and working among colleagues with different backgrounds and attributes

@RutgersAltRoute A1 #AltRtEd#EdTech I use tech every day in my learning process because all of my students only attend school remotely, rightly so at this time, so everything I do is via technology, but my kids love it when I use tech to also incorporate physical tasks into their learning
@RutgersAltRoute A4 #AltRtEd#EdTech One of the challenges of technology, however, is that we learn a lot of new and interesting technology, and then students are able to use it at such varying levels due to their own lack of high quality equipment... Tough....
@MlleOliver315 Yes, https://t.co/gvsWOJRUIZ is great. A lot of teachers in my district use it and swear by it. Personally I have so many students that are using school provided poor quality computers and have trouble seeing any screen presentation of any kind that I do not use it much, but...
@KabbaniGSE We can learn, for one thing, who can see our screen and who cannot. Sometimes, like the other day in one of my classes, we can learn who needs glasses!
