This morning in my intercessory time, I prayed with tears for all who weep, all who suffer pain, all who feel despair. I prayed for the hopeless. All those who feel unloved, who rarely have a kind or affectionate word said to them. I asked that Jesus would interrupt this dark season of yours—one you’ve come to think of as definitive of your whole life—with unavoidable light. Healing light. Cleansing light. The light of himself. The Light of the world.
I know the darkness of despair. Boy, do I know what it is like to feel that circumstances will never change and the pain and instability will never end. I am well acquainted with the question, how long, O Lord?
I pray all the things for you. I pray your circumstances will change. That God will bring love into your life in a multitude of ways and carry you away from that howling wilderness, a prisoner of a hope so ridiculously foreign to you, you cannot stop testifying about it. I pray all of those things!
But most of all I pray you Jesus. Because, this side of the veil, troubles will inevitably come. Temptations to return to despair. Pain that we will be tempted to think once more may never end. But Jesus stays. He sustains. He strengthens. He loosens up the laughter burrowed deep in our chests beneath all our worries. Holds our burdens so we can breathe. Play even. Reminds us he is God and we need not try to do his job.
And over and over and over and over and over and over again, he reminds us that no matter who does not love us, who does not see us, who does not care about us, he, the King of the Universe, DOES.
He is the one who daily meets us in our challenges. He is the Sun that rises before daybreak in our morning and in our mourning. And there is healing in his wings.
I pray you Jesus today.
@dbongino do you think that trans people don't deserve dignity, love and respect? Why is it such an issue for people? Do you think a person who looks in the mirror and wants to die because they look at an imagine that their mind and body feels is wrong should just die?
@nurdtwitt @bennyjohnson@kathygriffin@elonmusk Might be a problem but one would hope a fixable one. I want to know people I engage with are real people and who they say they are as closely as one can expect having not met them. Fake accounts and bots are a real issue and has been. At least someone is interested in a fix.
@EliteGamerHaven @bennyjohnson@kathygriffin@elonmusk Free speech is one thing hiding behind another person's persona is another. If it's your speech have the balls to be you and stand behind it. One of the whole purposes was to rid Twitter of fake accounts and bots. He was clear about that. Identity theft is a crime.
@bennyjohnson He had a crotchety old man response. Nothing more than my grandpa who is defensive all the time because he thinks people think he can't hear or understand would have responded. People need to listen when we talk so let's keep it on real issues so they don't get lost in this stuff
@iAMavillian@Team1anon@Annakhait I feel for these folks. However there have been instances of false representation of pedophiles to gain access. Err should be on side of safety. As a parent of child with special needs I like the idea of private restrooms instead 2 birds 1 stone
@usedgov Do not support student loan forgiveness for just anyone without a vetting. I had 3 kids 2 did it without loans and 1 didn't. Forgiving his is unfair to his sisters. It's unfair to everyone who did without and worked their butts off and did it.
@ToddPet98496466 @Ccampbellbased I was thinking the same thing. Plus I must not know how Twitter works because I don't follow uselessness so not sure why it even showed up on my feed. If I know have to see messages by people I have no desire to see info from I might have to delete the app
So, @elonmusk tries to buy Twitter. Suddenly the gov't wants to open an investigation. Yet members of Congress are becoming multi-millionairs on a salary around $150k without being investigated.
Why is that?
@dbongino No freaking kidding. How many years have naturally born women served yet they skip all those women who served all those years before this person became a woman in favor of a recentlytransition woman? That should speak volumes to women about how insignificant they are to some.
@ckcf4people@CAdams0912 The LJ Cross Scholarship at WKU is available to apply for for all in coming freshman who have worked with or in some way benefited the special needs community. That is key. WKU and special needs work
