@SandyHorne61 I agree. He lives in the 1950s when Indigenous peoples m, women and immigrants did not have a voice. He needs to change or get off the radio ASAP. He speaks to and reinforces the monoculture. 😡
@steevo4@Ryandally08 Actually few people are adversely affected by changes to CGT and negative gearing. Generally these are better off people. The system has been skewed in their favour for too long!! The changes will mean first home buyers will find it easier. the Murdoch press touts for rich.
@josephfalcone97 About time somebody did some decent tax reform in this country which tilted the balance away from rich investors and back towards young people trying to buy a home. More of it.
@Ryandally08 Actually this is about addressing the social inequalities in our society. Since Howard the rich have been getting richer and richer. Most Aussies don’t have trusts. Some v wealthy people do.
Labor needs to respond immediately to the reports CSIRO will tomorrow sack a THIRD of the team working on Australia’s national climate model. Australia’s climate science capability is globally significant & locally irreplaceable. A shameful way to treat our scientists.
We are having this hideous hoo haa about 4 women & 9 children coming home from Syrian camps, yet we’re absolutely silent about Australians who participated in the IDF genocide in Gaza coming back & roaming free.
This is insane.
I am in favour of:
- Higher resource rents/royalties
- A sovereign wealth fund
- A structurally balanced budget
- Stronger environmental protection
- Less/no money printing
... and many other things.
I'm not left or right, libertarian or nanny state.
I'm pro smart policy.
