La intérprete nacida en Chihuahua fue una de las actrices más importantes de la Época de Oro del Cine Mexicano.

Aguirre participó en las películas: Ojos de juventud (1948), Lluvia roja (1950), La mujer que yo amé (1950), Cuatro noches contigo (1952), Cuidado con el amor (1954), Vainilla, bronce y morir (1957), entre muchas otras.

Fue ganadora de múltiples reconocimientos a nivel nacional e internacional, entre ellos el Ariel de Oro en 2003, premio que celebró su trayectoria de más de 50 años en cine y televisión.
