Watching a Movie:
Watching it with others provides
an opportunity to get 5 different view points.
Watching Your Shift:
Is not like watching a movie.
Only ask people who are in
the know for their perspective.
Those who do not understand your path
will only project their fears onto you.
They can’t be objective.
Love them anyway.

Writers Block?
5 things I did today to help clear,
and re-organize my mind
· A short walk
· A long shower
· A 15 minute drive
· Chopping veggies
· Making soup
I literally outlined my article for next weeks post as I made soup – got clear on the points I wanted to make. And decided upon the context.
Why does this work? 🧵
It’s all about rhythm.
The repetitive actions—
* footsteps on pavement
* steady beat of water in the shower
* pattern of stoplights along the drive
* and the rhythmic chopping of vegetables
They help me clear the mental clutter and get into a flow. These activities set my brain into a soothing cadence, creating space for clarity and creativity.
“There comes a time in your life,
when you walk away from
all the drama and people who create it.
You surround yourself with people
who make you laugh.
Forget the bad and focus on the good.
Love the people who treat you right,
pray for the ones who do not.
Life is too short to be anything but happy.
Falling down is a part of life,
getting back up is living.”
― José N. Harris
No matter how many books I write.
The thrill of seeing my book on shelves
in my local bookstore never gets old.
I am humbled
And grateful.
Still.
When friends told me there was a huge table
in the Union Square B&N (NYC) showcasing them
I blushed and was embarrassed
It’s so silly.
But still, I pray that the love that has
Being poured into each one helps
the person who has bought it.

If you’re willing to slow down enough to see it
Art, color, and inspiring imagery are everywhere.
The stripes on your pets’ fur, the nearby lake,
the texture of your favorite blanket,
the flowers on your desk,
It can shift your mind.
If you’re willing.
Whenever I feel lethargic
Whenever I feel uninspired
Whenever I feel overwhelmed
I seek out art, color, and imagery.
It wakes up my spirit and my creativity.
Yesterday I went to the Van Gogh exhibit with a friend.
Being surrounded by color and beauty shifts me.
It offers a different perspective.
It lifts my mood.
