@sogoesthelove Almost same
It’s ironic. Namjoon was talking about acceptance.. about living freely, without bending to the pressure of what society tells you is RIGHT. He said it’s okay to not want to marry or have kids, okay to want a different way of life... okay to be happy in your own way. But, in the very next breath some people respond with “I hope they get married soon" “I hope he has kids.”
These people, respectfully, are missing the point entirely.
The soul of his words was CHOICE.. that your life doesn’t have to mirror someone else’s ideals. But people are so conditioned by their own rights and wrongs, that they can’t help projecting their ideals onto others. Even when it comes from affection, which I'm sure most people said stuff out of love, it’s still a reflection of how deeply we’ve been trained to define happiness by sameness.
What if he doesn’t want that life? What if he changes his mind tomorrow about what happiness is for him? What if his version of joy exists outside of the map society drew?
It’s not just about Namjoon... it’s about us. About how easily we confuse love and care with correction. Telling children, friends, even people one admire what kind of life would make them complete, not realizing that they are merely echoing what the world once demanded of them. It’s not malicious. It’s human. But it’s still wrong.
Acceptance isn’t passive agreement.. it’s an active respect for someone’s autonomy, even when it unsettles our set of ideals. It’s the ability to stand before difference and not feel the need to reshape it.
That’s what Namjoon was really doing.. its a deeper level of understanding to let another person’s truth to exist without needing it to look like your own.
🐨: Are there really people who love me? Whenever I think that— Each time it happens, I want to be reassured myself.
🐨: Wanting to be reassured, that's why in this relationship — You know, it's like this. An unspecified number of people, should I call it an unspecified group? Or a specific group?
🐨: Anyway, whenever I want reassurance, I turn this on, too. Honestly, sometimes I turn it on because I feel like crying. That's just, that's how it is.
🐨: Because I'm alone. And since it's been a long time since we've performed. It's been a while, so after getting all that from so many people. You've seen it a lot, right?
🐨: In interviews, when I step off stage, the gap, the sense of drop, is really huge. I read books and exercise to try to reduce that, and I do live streams with you all, too.
🐨: Your love—your love is never lacking. Your love has always been more than enough from the beginning. What's lacking is me. I'm the one who's lacking.
"why are you crying this is just a clip"
the clip:
🐨:Everyone these days are chasing when it comes to marriage it’s very realistic, just, especially for women, there are a lot of problems like the social media giving pressure. I just think just live your live.
