They were children. russia killed them.
On August 21, a russian attack on Tokarivka, Mykolaiv region, killed three boys.
Brothers Amir and Radmir Matak were 13 and 11.
Their friend Oleksandr Miroshnichenko was 11.
They should have had decades ahead of them — school, friends, dreams, first love, their own families.
Instead, three children were killed by russia.
Three lives stolen.
Three families shattered.
russia is a murderous state — nothing else.
I attended the National Prayer Breakfast of Ukraine, which brought together religious leaders of different faiths, Ukrainian defenders and chaplains, families of our fallen heroes, and friends and partners of Ukraine from around the world.
I am grateful to everyone who came to Kyiv to be with Ukraine at this important moment. This is a sign of solidarity with our people and with the values we defend — human dignity, freedom, including freedom of religion, and the right to live without fear and persecution.
Russia is attacking these freedoms as deliberately as it attacks our cities. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has destroyed or damaged 794 religious sites of different denominations. In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Russia persecutes religious communities and clergy and seeks to impose its control over religious life.
Ukraine knows the value of religious freedom. Thirty-five years ago, we broke free from the Soviet system that persecuted faith.
I thank everyone who stands with us in this fight for freedom — in prayer, in solidarity, and in action.
- Kyrylo Budanov🇺🇦:
"Who can force Ukraine to freeze the conflict? This is a war of all Ukrainians, and if someone in the world thinks that they can dictate to Ukraine the conditions under which it can or cannot defend itself, then they are seriously mistaken.
Reaching the 1991 borders will be the end of this whole adventure that Russia has undertaken.”

Today Ukraine celebrates the Day of the State Flag 🇺🇦
Our flag is recognized all over the world — it has become a symbol of freedom, courage and the invincibility of Ukrainians.
🇺🇦💙💛 𝟐𝟑 𝐀𝐎𝐔̂𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔💛💙🇺🇦
𝐉𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐄́𝐄 𝐃𝐔 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐔 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐔𝐊𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐄𝐍
🇺🇦 Слава Україні!
🇺🇦 Gloire à l’Ukraine !

I’m traveling so maybe I missed it. Has anyone from the Trump administration condemned the “double tap” terrorist attack by Putin in Zelenskyy’s home town?
Midday update, Fellas! ☕️ The treasury hasn’t moved since morning, but the forge of the 128th Brigade is burning hot. No time for slacking when the Zaporizhzhia front requires a fully armored war wagon! 🚌⚡️

🇺🇦 Today, on Ukraine's National Flag Day, its blue color should symbolize a clear and peaceful sky. Instead, the sky over Ukraine serves as a daily shield for all of Europe.
On the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence, rallies, demonstrations and other events dedicated to Independence Day will take place in dozens of cities worldwide. They are organized by Ukrainian communities abroad – together with foreign friends and partners of Ukraine. 🌍✊

Never forget who stayed when the first bombs fell in 2022.
The same man who visits the front lines regularly.
The same man who has sacrificed so much for Ukraine.
Barely enough sleep.
Barely any time with family.
Barely time to think.
Yet he carries it all so well.
❤️
Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the blue and yellow flag for the world – a symbol of struggle, resilience, and will: Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Mykhailo Drapatyi congratulated Ukrainians on State Flag Day💙💛
Ahead of our Independence Day, we feel we are not alone. Our allies are with us.
Today in the morning, I was pleased to welcome leaders of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, alongside other high representatives, at the Kyiv Railway Station.
They will hold bilateral and multilateral talks with President @ZelenskyyUa. There will be important decisions and announcements.
Welcome, dear friends!
Ukrainian Americans and friends of Ukraine gathered at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC to celebrate the restoration of Ukraine’s independence in 1991. 🇺🇦
Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Denys Sienik called for stronger international pressure on Russia and continued support for Ukraine’s air defense, stressing that “peace through strength” is the path to a just and lasting peace.
Together, we sent a powerful message: Ukraine is free, Ukraine will remain free, and Ukraine will prevail. #35IndependenceDay #StandWithUkraine
Today, at the National Prayer Breakfast, in one hall, side by side, are people of different faiths, political views, professions, and nationalities. But events like this underscore that any differences between us do not matter when it comes to what matters most. Truth. Peace. And how prayer, in difficult moments, unites everyone. This is the common language we do not always speak with one another. But it is the language we know how to use when we speak to heaven about what matters most.
Speak more about Ukraine, do more for Ukraine, visit Ukrainians whenever possible. Because today, all of us seek not only peace on our land; we are fighting for the security and future of Ukraine, Europe, and the entire world, where not war and fear should prevail, but the best in people: respect, kindness, and every person's right to life.
Let us pray today for three important things. For those in captivity – that they may make it through. For those in battle – that they may return. And for peace for Ukraine – just and lasting.
