We’ve been performing these kinds of stunts with different airlines for years, so this isn’t exactly new territory for us. You also need to get it into your thick skulls that, when it comes to aviation, South Africa has maintained an impressive safety record since the new dispensation.

And just to remind you, SAA has historically had one of the strongest safety records among major airlines. The crash you’re probably referring to was in the 1980s and involved a cargo aircraft on a flight to Mauritius.
