Today has been the hottest day in May on record with Kew Gardens provisionally reaching 34.8°C - exceeding the previous highest May temperature in the UK by a full 2 degrees Celsius🌡️

This heat would be exceptional in the UK even in mid summer, let alone in May📈

Donald Trump just told world leaders at Davos that you see no wind farms in China, because China “is too smart” to generate power in that way, and is simply selling the turbines to the rest of the world. This is not strictly true! Wind farms currently provide approximately 13% to 14% of China's total electricity. When combined with solar, these green sources now account for over 22% of the country's total power consumption.

FACT: China has by far the largest installed wind power capacity in the world — more than any other country.

@chilternrailway please could you turn the electricity on for London bound train that left Leamington spa 08:54? I’ve tried changing carriages and the sockets aren’t working anywhere!
