We recently submitted a confidential S-1. We expect it to leak so we’re just announcing it. We have not decided on timing yet; it may be a while because there are things we want to do that are likely easier as a private company. But it’s a complicated set of tradeoffs and this gives us the option to go public sooner if that ends up being best.
This announcement is being made pursuant to Rule 135 under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and does not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy any securities. Any offers, solicitations of offers to buy, or any sales of securities will be made in accordance with the registration requirements of the Securities Act.
Everyone saying performance after IPO-ing sucks, and historically it has, but last year wasnt the case. IPOs were positive over 1mo, 3mo and 6mo. Not saying SpaceX will follow this trend but I would be careful assuming anything. Good find from @psarofagis $SPCX

Overlay index inclusion, an expected rich market microstructure & a large group of market participants position trading emotionally this listing could have wide swings similar to $TSLA in the the early M3 days. Seems like a perfectly deep flow to dive in once it gets going. $SPCX #IPO<GO> 🇺🇸

@Tesla@SpaceX In the article : “He has become, in recent years, not too careful about how close his remarks are to the truth,” Mr. Zubrin said. $SPCX https://t.co/nqLdgUO59E
The people who believed this a decade ago are the same ones who think space data centers are a brilliant idea that’s coming soon.
