I don’t immediately see anyone, so I walk up to the truck. To my surprise there is a spectrum lady PASSED OUT slumped over in the front seat. I’m like wtf and start knocking on the window. Nothing. I’m thinking she’s dead.
I’m done ranting but spectrum please for the love of god leave me alone. Stop coming to my house. Stop calling me. Stop doing this to customers. Haven’t you seen Reddit? People feel harassed by you.
Stop sending these people out to represent your company. This woman was sleeping in my driveway??? Blocking my way in. What part of this would ever make me want to return???? Every single interaction with anyone has been not only negative, but horribly uncomfortable.
Once she gets to the door, she asks me when I moved in. And said she was actually there to give me my return offer and had 3 notebooks pages full of notes about us??? Kept me outside for over 10 minutes and wouldn’t leave. She said she would return later and I’m like no!
Definitely not Craig. She laughs and tells me that she’s been in my driveway for over 1.5 hours, and THANKED me for letting her take a nap there. Atp I’m like in shock what the f is happening right now! She says she’s going to “leave a card for Craig” and walks up to my door.
After a literal 30 seconds of pounding on this window, she jumps up, quickly opens the door and just smiles and greets me like nothing happened. I tell her that I thought she was not okay and that it freaked me out. She laughs it off, and asks me if my name is Craig? Um no

This is the best part. TODAY I get home from work, there’s a spectrum truck parked sideways in my driveway, blocking my entire garage door. I’m like…. Ok??? So I park my car and it doesn’t look like anyone is in the truck. So I’m looking around to find someone to move!
We ignored them. But they stood there for over 10 minutes knocking. They eventually left so whatever. I’ve received probably 10 phone calls and countless emails in the WEEKS it’s been since we moved. It’s just so painfully annoying. But it’s whatever right because I’m done!
After trying to sell me everything they have to offer and me declining over and over and over again, I FINALLY got it cancelled and took a deep breath like finally I am away from this horrible company. Until the FIRST night at our new apartment. 2 spectrum ladies are at the door.
I wouldn’t wish a cancelling spectrum phone conversation on my worst enemies. It is PAINFUL. This lady kept me on the phone for over an hour, talking all about her life, her cousins, everything BUT cancelling my service. I know it’s their tactic. I was super nice. But oh my god.
But shocker!! No refund for all those hours and days with no service. They offered like $7. So fast forward to us moving at the beginning of July. Obviously we had no interest in keeping spectrum, so we switch to AT&T (best decision btw).
Often these unexpected “outages” would occur at the same times each day. For weeks on end our internet would go out like clockwork, multiple hours a day every day. Almost like they were working on it?? Idk probably. But it certainly felt intentional.
So that was fun. During the 2 years there were countless outages. Many days that I couldn’t work from home. If you contact for a refund, they kindly tell you that they don’t issue refunds for outages, but they can give you a “credit”. Which ends up being pennies.
I have used Spectrum for over 2 years. There were issues from the day 1… starting with the creepy man who came to set it up. He didn’t leave once he was done, said that he was “waiting out his shift”. He was in my apartment for so long that my landlord was concerned and called.
