@bulariat H-E-B has their own production warehouses like for Bakery and can cut out the middle man for a majority of their products which is why they can bring you products at a reduced cost. Also listed as America's best grocer, I doubt it's going anywhere soon.

@bulariat Hi! Since you're not from TX I'll let you know that use to be other grocery stores like Handy Andy, Albertson, Kroger and some of those still exist in areas of Texas but in places like San Antonio they all closed their stores because they couldn't compete.
