Hey if you saw Project Hail Mary already, thank you for supporting film and original storytelling! Now go see it again in a different format this weekend. Go see it in 4D. Go see it in 70mm. Go see it at your local theater if you have one. Tell your friends. Hogtie and haul them to the movies if you have to, just GO. Do you want endless reboots, franchises that never die, and a continuing glut of comic book films? Yeah. me neither.
We’re in this strange time where devastation is equated to a movie being deemed worthy or meaningful, Project Hail Mary reminds you that hope can be just as powerful and Joy isn’t a lesser emotion!
#ProjectHailMary reminds one of why they love movies. A breathtaking, deeply human and surprisingly hilarious sci-fi epic anchored by one of the most beautifully unusual friendships put on screen. The scale is massive, but it never loses its intimacy. Every moment of isolation, fear and hope lands with real weight. Ryan Gosling is phenomenal here, carrying what’s essentially a one-man show with humor and vulnerability. He makes the spectacle feel personal and the stakes genuinely urgent. The bond between him and Rocky is the film’s emotional core, and it’s handled with so much sincerity.
The visuals are stunning, some of the most striking space sequences, elevated by Daniel Pemberton’s soaring, otherworldly score. The 2hr 30min runtime is felt but it doesn’t drag, Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s vision comes together seamlessly in a film that feels as awe-inspiring as it is heartfelt. ‘PROJECT HAIL MARY’ isn’t just about survival - it’s about choosing to trust, to help, to care. No borders, no prejudice, just two beings working together to save their worlds.
thanks so much for your support, he worked really hard on this

Rachel Zegler had one of the most powerful producers in Hollywood fly out specifically to ask her to delete a tweet in support of Palestine and she refused.
More backbone and integrity at 23 than 99% of powerful people in this country. A queen.
This sounds frivolous in the grand scheme of things but we need to support archivists, protect public libraries, protect journalists, writers, artists, photographers, and filmmakers. We need to continue to keep culture alive and educate our youth.
Let me get this right, a racist political ideology that supports an ethnostate committing genocide is the same as *checks notes* being born black or gay?
i'm never fucking going to bat for star wars again. absolutely atrocious when this show was going viral every single day on here and had multiple renew campaigns by the fans. they've shown where their priorities lie, and it's in continually catering to a crowd of toxic incels.
The Acolyte was different. It took risks. It invited a new audience to explore and enjoy Star Wars where they never had before.
After everything Amandla, Leslye, and the rest of this cast endured—the answer is pandering to bigots? The floodgates are open. Disgusting.
Deeply embarrassing that the first Star Wars show to release with an actual writers room (not the hivemind stuff with Jon F. & Mando or small consulting Tony got with Andor) is not given a chance to come back for a second season.
The show found an audience but the audience wasn’t big enough to justify making a second season according to the article. The fact that these shows have to be monumental cultural hits to get the chance to continue is a problem we still need to fix in this industry.
He got the birth certificates laminated. Of all the details, this one. How proudly do fathers laminate every scrap of paper that is important for his child. In the middle of a genocide, he got the birth certificates laminated.
Just to put this win into context: Arshad Nadeem didn't even have enough money to buy a new javelin. He didn't have proper coaching or a training facility. His village banded together to raise money to send him to the Olympics.
Arshad’s win is cinematic.
very cool that we’re debating whether elevated testosterone means you’re not a woman when almost 20% of all people with periods suffer from pcos. very normal thing supposed feminists are doing rn
