#1, God is not His name, it’s his exalted position, the God above all gods. He has a name; read your Bible.
#2, gods are mentioned all through the Bible in a non blasphemous manner. Ps 82.6 CSB “I said, ‘You are gods;
you are all sons of the Most High.
However, you will die like humans
and fall like any other ruler.’” Jesus even quoted this Psalm when talking with Jewish leaders. Most of the time the word is used it’s referring to false gods, further underscoring JB’s appeal to self depreciation.
