The brother of a friend who voted to leave the EU then moved to Cyprus to retire, now concedes Brexit might have been a mistake, but "we had to try it" !!!
No we didn't. It was always going to mean the UK being poorer with fewer access rights, with more cost, for UK's businesses & citizens to their continent - & its produce - without being (not in UK's gift to) equally compensated elsewhere.
He was genuinely upset & confused at the fact that he (unlike his brother & I) had to show 24,000 euros pa in his Cyprus bank account deposited every year, along with 'adequate' private medical insurance, to reapply & gain just a one year visa each & every time (Doh!)
