One of the issues with alot of frontend frameworks, is that they show you shiny new stuff, but don't explain the impact this makes to architectures or what problems specifically they solve. For example, the new #Tanstackdb, there's alot to consider with this sort of approach

It's actually scary how much better Gemini is than ChatGPT. The experience on the latter (web) had gotten progressively worse, where as the former just feels so snappy. It only took 1 week and I had cancelled my OpenAI subscription.

One barrier to an AI developer scenario would undoubtedly mean that someone (PM) would have to write very detailed specs and tickets for every SINGLE task and edge case for a feature. I suspect after a week of doing this, they would go back to using a human developer 😂

@mattpocockuk Same. XState and state machines for certain use cases are a fantastic tool. However they have a barrier to entry, which I've found you need to continually advocate in order to get adoption.

@denicmarko after many years, i often find taking a break is key. Coming back fresh and allowing yourself to consider the problem again, really helps. Im just better nowadays of spotting those behaviours. Beyond that asking peers is also really useful

I honestly find I'm spending more of my spare time staying up to date in the JS ecosystem, as opposed to just building things. It's honestly exhausting. Especially since web pages are still just html, css and JS at the point people view them.

@adamdotdev i agree partially because it takes away from what is important. I just want to fire up a project and code, its just not like that anymore, its gone too far
