@mattmeir Power grab within the Dons Trust and AFC Wimbledon. Saw it coming from a mile away a year ago. Spoke up & got verbally bitch slapped with “will never happen” vibes. Now it has.
Ive been watching. Never stopped. Always kept a finger on the pulse. Never gave up hope. Watched how the club & the DT has been treated so poorly by some. I tried to forewarn. But lots didn’t want to see or hear. Such is life. #afcw
@rob_crane@TheDonsTrust@AFCWimbledon@WeAreTheFSA The changes made to the DT Constitution over the past two years led to this inevitability. The success of low voter turnout on all proposals led to this inevitability. The rugs were pulled from under us whilst we sleepwalked into this inevitability.
@StephenJAdams@justadon88 And that's your opinion, Stephen. And I respect that. As much as I wished you would respect mine. But thanks for the feedback.
A Thread:
Dear all #AFCW fans,
My VONC in the current Board of the #DonsTrust is not just me. I am the face of it. The timing couldn't be better because of the recent minutes have shown that the club is being taken in a direction that makes me and those who have added their
@daysofspeed@ArryHarrison It's like politics, right? I don't get what the Tories are doing but there are tons who do. There have been many many questionable decisions made, in my view, by the DTB in recent years. No way can Twitter offer me the characters to reply. Suffice to say I would like this debate
@Timothy_Green Hi Timothy,
Thanks for the feedback. There are multiple issues - but the most important being that the change in structure is being developed by the DTB (from what I read and understand) and the DT cannot put a point of order in without 350 signatures?
@lukeyboymac Luke - I have been in contact with the secretary of the DT and he's been a great help. But the system is built to make it nigh on impossible to bring anything (I know my VONC is an extreme here) to the table for discussion. You need 350 signatures. All verified by the Secretary.
@StephenJAdams Oh and aside: If YOU weren't happy about something, you would also voice your concerns, no? And to do so you'll need 350 signatures by people to all individually email the club secretary and for the sec to count and verify every one. Quite the rigmarole just to have a voice, no?
@StephenJAdams Between now and then, Stephen, is a very long road. It all depends entirely on who is on the board at that point.
Fact is: I'm using my right to call a VONC. I don't expect everyone to agree, though. That's their right. But the new governance strategy is concerning me.
(which I don't have right now) replying to individuals because of their disagreement with my fundamental right to stand up and call a vote of no confidence.
Peace be with you all. Let's see how this comes together. People are unhappy. Let them speak. #AFCW#COYD#DonsTrust#DT
you, I'm afraid.
I hope you can all understand that I will be taking a break from Twitter for a while. This isn't to do with my motion. This is because I am awake to the fact that I will be spending hours and hours a day
