The one man shows +1 (Evening with) have been very well received, I'll do a few more in 2027 plus my shows with The Wildcats. Hope to get to a venue near you!
So sad that Bob Harris has had to step down from broadcasting due to ill health.I have known Bob for years and appart from being a great broadcaster he was also a lovely gentle, kind man, and a friend. I will miss our chats every Sunday and I know he is going to miss doing his shows so much as he has a deep love for radio. I was talking on the phone to him last week and I know it was a difficult decision for him but quite rightly his health had to come first. We will all miss you at Radio2 Bob but we will keep in touch and I know you will fight and beat this horrible cancer.
It’s a great album - I have listened from start to finish a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The main track is great as are the police/sting and @KimWilde332448 covers. Can’t recommend it enough!
We had the privilege to see an afternoon with her and @GylesB1 this year celebrating her birthday and when she had sir mick jagger as a surprise guest. A remarkable lady. God bless her!
Tonight, Britain holds its breath for a woman who has given it so much.
At 91, Judi Dench is resting quietly at home, surrounded not by spotlights or applause, but by the soft presence of family during what loved ones describe as a “fragile time.” There are no dramatic scenes — just tenderness, privacy, and a nation murmuring its gratitude into the silence.
For decades, she has been the beating heart of British theatre and film — breathing life into the words of William Shakespeare, commanding stages with quiet majesty, and moving audiences to tears in films like Belfast. Her voice has carried our stories. Her presence has defined generations.
Now, as she gently withdraws from the glare of the spotlight, the country sends its love back to her — wrapped in thanks, admiration, and the countless memories she gifted us. A national treasure, forever etched into Britain’s soul.
House Speaker Mike Johnson has denied a request by the family of Jesse Jackson for the civil rights hero to lie in honor in the United States Capitol rotunda.
RETWEET if you stand with Jackson's family against Johnson!
The stupidity of this White House sometimes knows no bounds. There are no Penguins in Greenland or the Arctic. Don’t they remember that Happy Feet was based in Antarctica?
We have tried to claim on ticket protection insurance for tickets bought from @TodayTixUK but their app says the vouchers they have issued are out of date (they aren’t) or not valid (they should be) we queried but cannot get past bot. Does not seem to be a good co to buy from.
I'll be at the Epstein Theatre, Liverpool on the 18th April 2026.

Memories of 1958 in Birkenhead when a shy Ronald Wycherley came to the stage door with some of his songs, he became Billy Fury that night!
BREAKING: Chris Rea, who wrote and sang one of the most famous festive songs in history, Driving Home for Christmas, has died just three days before Christmas, aged 74.
