@brady_h Personally, if it isn't a randomized controlled trial, I take the results with a grain of salt. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of good RCTs in the area of health and fitness because they are difficult to do well.
@ZubyMusic When it comes to *extreme* success, I agree that luck plays a big role.
When it comes to less extreme success, I think it's more about optionality than luck. Successful people tend to take more action and expose themselves to a greater number of options.
I usually avoid looking at these multi-millionaire/billionaire health regimens, but this is pretty decent.
1 AVOID alcohol (occasional is fine)
2 Sleep a LOT
3 Do NOT overeat (2meals a day, 6hr window)
4 Exercise
5 LIMIT stress
6 Do NOT eat meat
7 Live ALONE
8 Fast
9 Cold Exposure
The part about "living alone" really means not having a person undermining your sleep needs.
@DTCochrane@GeorgeSelgin Gross profit has its uses, but it is telling that he ignored Kroger's profit margins from the last three years: 1.21%, 1.52%, and 1.45%. It was probably intentional.
If you reduced Kroger's prices by this amount, you would wipe out their profits.
@RBReich Kroger's profit margins for the last 3 years:
2023 - 1.45%
2022 - 1.52%
2021 - 1.21%
This means that you would only need to reduce Kroger's overall prices by ~1.5% to eliminate *ALL* their profits.
@mikeddonatelli Most of the people where I live are on their phones while walking their dogs, and they aren't talking.
It seems kind of sad to me that they can't take a break from the internet or social media.
โFor the next 90 days, the first 90 minutes of your work day, focus monomaniacally on your single most valuable project. I call it your game-changing move. It might be creating a new piece of code that will revolutionize the marketplace. It might be a new product that, when you launch it, will fill a need within your industry that no peer is currently providing. I donโt know what your game-changing move is, but this is your poetry. This is your magnum opus for the next 90 days.โ
