“I grew up riding horses and studying architecture, but I didn’t grow up choosing my religion. Where I’m from, that choice is already made for you.
“When I came to the United States, school was the main reason. But once I was here, I started looking for something more. I visited different churches. I listened. I observed. None of them felt like home.
“Then my uncle invited me to church. I didn’t know much about Islam growing up, except that it wasn’t something I ever chose for myself. What stood out to me about Christianity, and especially this church, was agency. The idea that faith is a choice. That mattered to me.
“I studied for about four months. At one point, I postponed my baptism because I didn’t want to rush it. I needed to be sure. After some things happened in my life, I knew it was time.
“I was baptized with my brother. My family even came from Florida. That day is hard to describe. I felt something I don’t think I’ve ever felt before. I don’t know if I’ll ever feel it the same way again, but I know it changed me.
“After my baptism and going to the temple, I realized something. For the first time in my life, my faith feels complete. Before, I believed maybe 60 or 70 percent. I prayed, but something was missing.
“Now I feel whole. This is the first place since leaving my country where I’ve truly felt at home.” —Kiarash
@HiTechService@archeohistories Communism = Nazism
Patton and McCarthur tried warning everyone. In reality, Communism has killed 100's of Millions more than Naxism ever did. Many in US Gov, Universities, and Media want US Republic under Constitution to Fall to Communism. Sad
@TruckerJeff1989@Ch_JesusChrist Unfounded and illogical fear. The scriptures actually say that knowing Hebrew, helps comprehension of Isaiah and the scriptures.
God does not give a spirit of fear, but of love.
