Got involved in a spirited debate last night about the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. This RAF Unit preserves and displays the aircraft that supported our efforts in WW2. It’s an aviation buff’s nirvana. But… against the backdrop of ever reducing budgets, the recent tragic accident, and an ever increasing public apathy about this period of our history…is it time to shut the doors on this tribute to the few, and the many? Should the RAF focus on inspiring the next generation with modern platforms ? A discussion that split those present at the @TheRAFClub last night. What’s your thoughts on this ?
