@thetrainline I was trying to work out if I could move the return leg one week later, but it's a bit confusing whether I have to do that before the outward journey, and what the charges might be.
Interesting that I submitted a complaint on Thursday about the situation on Wednesday and received a response from @northernassist today.
Unfortunately the response again avoided actually answering any of the questions I put in my complaint, but it's a start.
@DarylCatpiss@northernassist I didn't follow up that offer. Didn't think it was fair before making sure I had the appropriate feedback from the complaints channel first and having all the info together.
@northernassist Yeah. I don't know why they never simply answer the questions but maybe it's quicker to copy and paste the standard response to blame @transportgovuk. I'll email again.

@alexhornbyrail@northernassist I'll have to go back through emails to try & draw up a list. But they're all basic things: failure to communicate clear information in a timely way or doing things to inconvenience passengers. See Stockport today. Sometimes it feels like no Northern staff use their own service.
Received a letter yesterday, from @NHSEngland, undated, to tell me that my appointment the previous Wednesday had been cancelled and rescheduled. Which doesn't seem like the best use of resources.
