@RichardBurgon Here is a man that not only has no clue as to why energy bills are so high. He also has no clue about economics in general.
I'll go ahead and assume he does t know much about being an effective MP either.
We have seen this already with Total, Shell and Harbour energy reviewing or reducing their investment in the UK energy sector. This will lead to less supply, less jobs and of course....higher energy prices for the UK.
Oil and Gas firms in the UK are currently paying 75% tax. Amongst the highest in the world.
History has shown us that windfall taxes do not work and only result is discouraging investment thus constricting UK energy supply further.
