Know it's already been discussed ad nauseam, but drafting a QB 13th overall when your current starter is now signed for 2 yrs and $100+ million seems like a horrible use of resources.

ESPECIALLY when that draft pick has a total of 15 college starts in 4 years.

Extremely tight window trying to capitalize on the benefits of the rookie QB contract when Simpson will (ideally) have started 15 competitive games in a 6 year span.

James Harden playing for the Cavs has completely sapped my enjoyment of rooting for them. His play style legitimately disgusts me. The fact an organization would sign him, let alone give up assets for him, in the year 2026 is beyond me. Let him infect a different franchise!

To me it boils down to 2 things:

1. The shooter is already square. So much of shooting is balance, alignment, and having your eyes on the basket. Passes off O-Boards put shooters in a great position for all three.

2. Most defenders are clustered in the paint and facing towards the basket. Allows the shooter plenty of time & space to let it fly.
