@laurenboebert So, this generous government is giving people their own money back to help them pay bills, buy food, and stay in their homes... It sounds amazing! Would you care to explain why you opposed it?
@AriBerman There are also plenty of people who want to vote who are uninformed on political issues. These voters skew the “quality votes” narrative and you’ll never hear republicans mention that demographic because it doesn’t fit their agenda.
@DanPriceSeattle Too generous...they’d still be making more than your company’s minimum salary. I say let them live on their state’s average annual income.
@JohnCollins_KP @NotHoodlum 1. Gives them a reason to blame Biden for schools NOT being able to open safely.
2. Vilify the public school system to push more children into the private school option.
3. Party over country and it’s citizens.
@joshtpm This is why dems must kill the filibuster, and then pass aggressive voter protection laws. GOP would then need to gain popular support and win fair elections.
@Teri_Kanefield This hits the bullseye. If dems kill the filibuster and then pass voter protection laws (voting day is a national holiday, every registered voter can vote by mail, etc...) GOP would have to win fair elections and then risk being vilified for trying to take those new laws away.
