Reporter: "What do you say to President Trump saying he's a lifelong Knicks fan?"
Hochul: “I’d ask him to name the starting lineup of the 1993 Championship team and see how he does."
The last time the Knicks won a championship was 1973.
Polls are open across Texas!

Pastors, church staff, religious school teachers and other non-profit workers deserve the same opportunity to build long-term financial security as everyone else.
Sadly, outdated federal rules are standing in their way.
It's time to fix this!

The redistricting gambit has been really bad for Spanberger's approval rating. Why would she want to go down this road? It's the nuclear option and the negative fallout is a huge unknown.
Blue Ridge born and raised, I’m fired up beyond words by the chance to represent this beautiful new VA-6. From Charlottesville to Lynchburg, Rocktown to Roanoke, we're fighting to bring down costs and bring back our civil liberties. Together, let's turn the Blue Ridge blue!
NO won big in the 1st and also more narrowly in the 2nd. A LOT can happen between now and November, but I would favor the incumbents in both seats today.

OOF. With that, Rs take the lead on the mid-decade redistricting war (tho very likely not by enough to save them in the midterms).
VA-01 —> TOSSUP
VA-02 —> LEAN D
VA-05 —> LIKELY R
VA-06 —> SAFE R
RIP all the Democrats running for the Lobster seat lol.
As America approaches its 250th anniversary, Justice Clarence Thomas reminded the nation where our rights come from – not government.
When rights come from the state, they can be taken away. History proves it.

Virginia voters have spoken, and tonight they pushed back against a President who claims he is ‘entitled’ to more Republican seats in Congress.
As we watched other states go along with those demands without voter input, Virginians refused to let that stand. We responded the right way: at the ballot box.
Gov. Spanberger won by 15% in November. Her redistricting plan (she signed it, she owns it) is going to win by about 3%. That's a HUGE drop in five months and lower than the Kamala Harris margin in 2024.
🚨Breaking News: Democrat Governor blocks President Donald Trump's 'no tax on tips' rejecting a tax cut totalling tens of millions for the people of Virginia
#Virginia
Governor Abigail Spanberger and Virginia Democrats have refused to honor tax on tips in the state.
They blocked any change to Virginia’s tax code that would stop the state from taxing tips, forcing tipped workers to hand over a bigger share of their earnings to Richmond than they do to Washington.
The federal “no tax on tips” policy was part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
It allows tipped workers to deduct up to $25,000 in tip income from their taxable income for tax years 2025 through 2028.
The IRS reports that more than 6 million Americans have already claimed the deduction, with an average benefit of more than $7,100 per filer.
Virginia, however, chose not to give the tax relief at a state level - with the new Democrat Governor ditching former Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin's budet proposals that included state-level deductions for tips, overtime pay and car-loan interest.
The move will cost taxpayers in Virginia upwards of $80 million.
Gov. Spanberger and her democrat colleagues have been accused of going on a 'taxing spree' since taking office, introducing dozens of new measures on taxing everything from digital services to dog walking.
Tax proposals introduced by Virginia Democrats in the 2026 legislative session include:
🔷️3.8% net investment income tax on capital gains, dividends, interest, rental income, and other passive income for "higher earners "
🔷️Expanded sales tax on services like: fitness/gym memberships, pet care/dog walking/grooming, dry cleaning, vehicle repairs, home repairs, counseling, concerts/events, haircuts, and other personal services.
🔷️Tax or fee on retail deliveries - including food delivery like Uber Eats/DoorDash and packages from Amazon/UPS/FedEx, with some proposals for a 20-cent or 4.3% delivery fee especially in Northern Virginia
🔷️Taxes on firearms and ammunition - including an 11% excise tax proposal
🔷️Tax on large employers
🔷️Employer and employee premiums for a paid family and medical leave program - AKA new payroll-style tax
🔷️Regional local sales taxes in counties and cities - including for schools or transportation
Tax on fantasy sports operators
🔷️New personal property tax on certain items like electric leaf blowers and landscaping equipment
Tax on digital goods and subscriptions - including streaming services like Netflix
🔷️Higher hotel/motel taxes
🔷️Tax on data centers or skill games/gambling expansions for new revenue

Nothing says we are fighting for what is best for the people of Virginia like bringing in Newsom, Holder, Warren, & Hollywood elites to try and ram a 10-1 map down our throats that silences millions & splits communities in order to send people to Washington who will vote exactly as these liberals expect. Were AOC and Bernie not available, or will they be added to the line up soon?
No thanks. Virginians will vote NO by April 21st.
Hard-working Virginians who earn tips are benefitting from federal “no tax on tips.”
But Abigail Spanberger and Virginia Democrats BLOCKED no tax on tips for state tax purposes.
Just another broken affordability promise.
While FISA "expires" on April 20, the FISA Court already extended operations for another year under the prior authorization. What does this all mean? 🧵
