@Adrianaislay @drgmlennox @iainmartin1 It might be a good idea to learn from the EU Ref & negotiate the Indy ‘deal’ with RoUK in advance of holding the Indy ref. That way accusations of ‘you didn’t know what you were voting for’ could be headed off. Leaving the EU was hard, but this will be much harder.

Unlike NI, which will almost certainly join the Republic at some point, there are enough Scots who realise the damage it would do to Scotland, were indy to happen. And what’s the point of leaving the UK just to throw it all in with Brussels?

Also, if you want to join the EU you’ll need your own currency in the ERM for a few years before joining the Euro, which would be a condition of membership.
