I'm running for Governor of New York.
Without new, courageous, progressive leadership creating change, the way things have always been will stand in the way of what they can be.

Unfortunately, there was another officer involved shooting last week. Once again I am calling for fair investigations through an Elected Civilian Review Board.
This weekend, Troy DSA Housing Committee is hosting a tenant support session at Oakwood Food Pantry. Join us Saturday, March 12 at 9am (and monthly every second Saturday!) to help address Troy housing issues. 🏠
Business leaders support of @GovKathyHochul’s plan to restore TAP to incarcerated people. “Extending the Tuition Assistance Program to include incarcerated New Yorkers is not only humane, it’s smart fiscal policy," said @darrenwalker. #TurnOnTheTAPNY

I would like to thank everyone who supported me in this campaign, who believed the movement we continue to stand for. I intend to continue doing the work of fighting for my community, through my non-profit and direct action. I hope you'll join me for the next journey. (3/3)
With the votes in, it's clear that we came short of our goal of city council. While I am disappointed by the results, I will not say we lost. It's true that I will not be sitting on the city council next year, but this campaign was never just about one election. (1/3)
I am proud to have run a grassroots campaign, focused on the renters, the workers, and the poor in Troy. I am proud to have formed coalitions with community organizations and labor movements. I'm proud to have spoken loudly about injustice, that others may find their voice. (2/3)
So many people have helped with this campaign - to celebrate, We're having an election watch party tonight, 8 PM at The Ruck upstairs! All supporters are welcome!
Election day is TOMORROW! Every vote counts - we know this because we came short in the primary by just one vote. Make a plan to vote, and make sure your friends and family have one too!

In my time in Troy, I've put in the work through non-profits to help those who need it most, and called out the city when they ignored our needs. If elected, I will do the same on City Council.
Everyone in this city has their own story, and their own insight on how we can improve where we live. When we bring people together and listen, there's so much we can learn.
Right now, New Yorkers are reviewing no-excuse absentee ballot voting, which would massively expand access to easy and safe voting. There's no reason working people should have a difficult time making their voice heard in our democracy, so join me in voting yes on Prop 4!
