Absolute brick of a chap working in marketing, pr, and social media. Also likes cricket on a decent wicket, a good smoke, and anyone who is a good egg.
@FoursquareGuide@Foursquare@SwarmApp I had not realised mayorships had been restored via @SwarmApp, so do forgive. I must admit the branding rather puts me off however. Gentlemen do not swarm.
@FoursquareGuide@Foursquare Do forgive, chaps, but once my chum Topsy Montecute and I lost the ability to tussle over the mayoralty of various watering holes I rather lost interest. But well done for fighting on.
If you're still considering which new year's resolution to plump for, can I recommend #DryJanuary? I find the benefits of this campaign most beneficial. Most notably, there is less competition for the barman's attention and I am served more quickly.
Happy New Year, chaps and chapettes! Begin as you mean to go on: clutching a cup of one's caffeine source of choice, find a quiet place, crank up the laptop, and do one's best to appear productive.
Dear client,
This email about something trivial is sent to emphasize that I am toiling away long after you called a day on 2017. I send this only to ensure you dare not quibble about paying my full retainer at month's end.
Me
(the unwritten subtext of every email sent this week)
I would never be so gauche as to refer to myself as a 'Digital Guru,' chaps, but I am happy to share this highly amusing piece which labels me thus.

Most informative. I'd say enjoyable as well, but I'm afraid 2017 has been a real stinker for the media world and this is reflected (most accurately) in this episode. Highly recommended. https://t.co/rLIgIzRMjj
@michelllec Sounds like a sound plan, chapette. Be sure not to forget to send all clients an email at some point during the week about something or other (simply to remind them you were working hard while they were shirking).
Back in my native land again, chaps, after a sojourn with our Caledonian cousins. I am enjoying my jaunts in Glasgow tremendously, however it is somewhat a strain having to constantly having to repeat myself to chaps who struggle to understand the Queen's English.
@Justin_Chant No easy way to untie this particular Gordian knot, old sick. But do please extend my wishes for a Happy Christmas to everyone on the team!
@cladoon72 Not one that is publicly acknowledged, chapette. There was a rumoured trist between an Etingchap and a laird in centuries past that may have added a Caledonian hue to the family bloodline, but nothing confirmed.
@Justin_Chant I would say it depends on the branding (or personal branding) of the email sender. I personally want no truck with "seasons greetings" or the dreadful "happy holidays," but no one expects this sort of rubbish from me. I can wish Happy Christmas without fear of ruffling feathers.
In Glasgow for the first time ever in December. It gets light around 8:30am, and the skies begin to darken just after 2pm. Most discombobulating. Is there an equivalent to jetlag for traveling north? If so, chaps, I have a bad case.
@LondonRobinson@camclarke@TheDrum I would have thought, old top, the fact that Cameron is wearing blue jeans is all the reassurance on that front one could possibly need. No offence intended, @camclarke.
Back in the Dear Green Place today, chaps, and met up with the delightful @camclarke for an hour or so. He wanted to pose for a picture with my famous pipe, of course. Next @TheDrum blog post now planned for January...
