The current system in the US requires truly disabled that require treatments thru Medicare be absolutely poor and choose between feeding themselves (by working) or dying because if they earn a little money that makes them ineligible for their Medicare benefits. But there is no job they can do that will pay for the missing Medicare coverage.

Many of your points such as health care are spot on. However, every time the simple warehouse employees come back from the parking lot from lunch or break, many reek from skunk-weed. These are the people that will absolutely never attain anything by their own effort. They will remain behind because of their upbringing. Poor kids with good parents often do in fact do well in America. Fix the core problem of that (likely impossible) first.
