Tomorrow (Oct 15) Tesla unveils the next-gen Roadster 🚀
Elon in 2018: the SpaceX package gets ~10 small rocket thrusters for acceleration, braking & cornering, "maybe they will even allow a Tesla to fly."
Will it hover on stage? Unconfirmed until the stream. $TSLA #Tesla
SpaceX option package for new Tesla Roadster will include ~10 small rocket thrusters arranged seamlessly around car. These rocket engines dramatically improve acceleration, top speed, braking & cornering. Maybe they will even allow a Tesla to fly …
Tesla Q4 deliveries, day 13.
417 registrations confirmed, +57 since yesterday.
Norway is up to 99, Sweden 93.
Still +55% vs the same days last year.
Our Q4 estimate: 450.8k vs 467.1k consensus.
Who blinks first, us or the Street?

Elon Musk on the Tesla Roadster unveiling event:
“It’ll be a banger. Excitement guaranteed. Success is not guaranteed, but excitement is. We actually need an audience to vouch for the fact that this is not AI.”

Morgan Stanley's Adam Jonas in new @SpaceX note:
"The part of the SpaceX story that we believe holds the greatest growth potential, and that is being largely ignored/not contemplated by investors, is the Distributed Inference Cloud. Investors are already witnessing some degree of corporate/regulatory/social angst toward data centers. We see SPCX's efforts as instrumental in helping to get the Super Intelligence Economy and the Physical Intelligence Economy on the next leg of growth and economic development. As the 'density' of physical agents increases, we expect incrementally greater intelligence capability of the collective mobile swarm.
We ask investors to be prepared to hear about the Distributed Inference Cloud and physical AI swarms in the coming year. From our seat, we think this subject is very close to breaking out in the investor discussion. Gradually… then suddenly."
This is exactly the kind of moment Tesla’s Self-Driving system has to handle in the real world. The Tesla is traveling about 33 mph when a white car suddenly cuts across its path, and the vehicle brakes hard enough to bring the car to a complete stop before a collision.
The driver says the other vehicle made an illegal U-turn and ran the stop sign, but the footage clearly shows the sudden move and emergency braking. Would you trust Tesla’s system to react faster than you could in a moment like this?
Elon is pointing out an important aspect in the compute capex debt debate.
For context, credit markets keep pricing the risk for datacenters and compute buildout higher and higher. To borrow a billion for datacenter buildouts is becoming more and more expensive.
Zerohedge and others argue that this is a sign of risk and the coming AI bubble implosion. In their opinion, rising debt prices indicate that lenders don't believe the demand (and value) will keep coming.
But Elon is pointing out that the equation for debt pricing consists of two independent pieces:
If lend a billion for compute buildout, there are two ways of losing your money, not just one.
First, the borrower (Meta, Oracle, Nebius) might build a beautiful datacenter, but then no one wants the compute (or overcapacity is going to destroy compute pricing).
But there is another, SECOND risk:
What if the borrower simply fails to build the compute in time? What if permitting, turbines and powersourcing, chip cluster buildout , securing ram and GPUs etc are not working out as planned and delaying buildout? What if your 5 year earn cycle starts 2 years late because of it? This is a MASSIVE risk, and much more real than the first one.
Meta, OpenAI, Oracle have repeatedly failed to convert cash into compute supply in time.
This is also Pioneerlands's view:
There IS NO SCARCITY in compute demand. For the foreseeable future, every token available will be baopought at stable or increasing market prices.
There IS SCARCITY in compute supply - and more importantly, there IS SCARCITY in the ABILITY - not the funding for - building out that supply.
SpaceXSI is uniquely able and proven in their ability to achieve this buildout terrestrially, AND is uniquely positioned to take it to orbit AT SCALE in 2028.

Elon thinks $50 trillion valuation for SpaceX in 10 years is “way too low”
50 trillion mcap $SPCX is around 3650$ a share and Elon musk thinks its FUD.
Told you SpaceX will be a 100T company within the next 5 years.
Might sound crazy now, but won’t in a year or two from now
Someone just bought 3,999 Tesla $430 calls expiring April 2027, paying $27.40 each.
That’s $10.96 million in premium, bought at the ask.
The calls are about 15% out of the money, and open interest was just 40 before today.
Tesla needs to rise to about $457 by expiration, roughly 22% higher, for the buyer to break even.
Tesla reports earnings next week.

I hope everyone is ready, bc I honestly think the next-gen Tesla Roadster could be the GREATEST product reveal of all time.
Elon has talked about 0–60 mph in under a second and called that the “least interesting part.” What else do you have to show for acceleration like that to be an afterthought?
I filmed the original reveal in 2017 and said I’d own one someday. Almost nine years later, I’ve reserved mine, and I’m finally getting closer to seeing what I’ve been waiting for.
This is one reveal I wouldn’t miss for anything.
We are VERY close to 24/7 Robotaxi operations for Tesla
There is obviously plenty of revenue to grab after the current service shutdown time of 11P
This will also eliminate many of the fears that remain about Tesla's camera only approach not being sufficient to operate in the dark
We know this problem is largely already solved based on what Elon said at the X Takeover, but until Tesla deploys it in the real world, the doubts will remain
All eyes (ears) will be on Tesla's commentary about the V15 stack and how it's progressing on the Q3 call. I think it's also worth reminding everyone, whenever V15 rolls out to the customer fleet, DO NOT PANIC if it's not perfect
Tesla usually needs a few dot releases after it goes wide to really smooth things out. It will likely be no different with V15 $TSLA
@Tesla Time zones for Thursday, Oct 15: 7:55 PM CT = 8:55 PM ET = 5:55 PM PT (00:55 UTC Fri). It's the outdoor event Tesla moved to Oct 15 over severe weather (per its Sep 28 post), and Q3 results follow on Oct 21 after the close. #TeslaRoadster#TSLA
@elonmusk Same day as @Tesla calling FSD Supervised a "superhuman guardian angel": an owner clip showed a hard brake from 33 mph to 0 after an illegal U-turn + stop-sign runner. Driveway-to-parking with zero inputs is the everyday side of that. #FSD#Tesla
@wholemars That's @mikegapinski (Tesla Android). He says this is a native bare-metal CarPlay port — no dongle, no browser — after ~5 years. Still unofficial: Tesla ships no CarPlay today (Gurman: windowed wireless still in works). Demo on his post. #Tesla#CarPlay
@wholemars Cox/KBB Q3 US EV: Tesla sold 144,094 vehicles = 54.0% share (vs ~41% a year ago). Units −19.7% YoY, but the whole market shrank −38.6%, so share rose hard. Model Y alone: 99,037. Self-driving + product looks like the edge. Sources: Cox PDF + Electrek. #Tesla#FSD
@wholemars Build is 2026.38.5.1, per owner reports from @DirtyTesLa and @NowRollingOut. Still FSD v14.3.12 + v14.3 Lite with Halloween Mode intact, and owners say the release notes look unchanged, so it looks like a bug-fix point release on top of 2026.38.5. #FSD#Tesla
