A huge thank you to the @SLLeisCulture team for the partnership this last academic year. Our 4th year students had a great experience taking part in the exercise rehabilitation classes in the SLLC exercise referral scheme.
Today it was a pleasure to host @SLLeisCulture staff as a thank you for the partnership with UWS, where students gain experience of their exercise referral scheme by attending community rehabilitation classes. One of the activities was the use of our aging suits!!
This week we hosted Ryan Gilmour from SLLC who delivered a talk to our students on the Exercise Referral in Special Populations module.
This provided students with the opportunity to engage with a community-based programme for the rehabilitation & management of health problems.
Not your typical day as a sport science academic @UWS_Sport - filming with a green screen behind me! An interesting experience stepping behind the camera and seeing how it all works. 🎥

A few snaps 📸 of #ECSS2024. It was great to meet up with colleagues, collaborators, and friends, old and new. Despite the chilly weather in 🏴🥶🌧️, we had an amazing time. Typically, it’s warmer and sunny today (photo below for proof that we do get some good weather!) 😂.
@GlasgowWarriors What a second half performance @GlasgowWarriors to come back from 13-0 down at half time and in front of an away crowd!
