@suzyputrid I'm thinking huge amps, an orchestra, a ton of sitars, live tape manipulation and a radio to do the sweep across stations at the end of I am the walrus.
@MikePompey I genuinely have never seen anyone deliver crosses like that before. He doesn't bother beating the defender, he just exploits the fact that they defend against him as if he's going to try to go past them, like a normal winger, but that's not what he is.
@MikePompey I think there's something else going on in his crossing. His typical crosses are delivered from parallel with the 18- yard line, and go fast and low along the 6- yard line. Crucially, he doesn't need to beat the defender, and they are a nightmare to defend.
@HarvMarksy It is pretty unique. He doesn't need to beat his man or get anywhere near the byline, and it hits the danger zone with pace on it. Love the guy.
@DanLewis1999 In 1977 we avoided relegation to the old division 4 on the last day and there was a pitch invasion. I also remember the players cracking open champagne in the directors box, but that may be my memory playing tricks on me. I was only ten!
